Ways in which you can donate to MWA: (you do not have be a member to donate)
Donations of items for our “Monthly Kids Collection”:
Some of our Monthly Kids Collections are based on the time of year and other for specific needs. Items collected are distributed to the Red Cross Homeless Shelter and A Woman’s Place, while at other times, items are distributed to our Apartment Partners. Specific items are given to the Bloomsdale/Fleetwing Project.
Edible items: Children’s cereal, drink boxes, individually wrapped snacks
Paper products: toilet tissue, tissues, paper towels, Styrofoam plates, bowls and cups
Household items: cleaning supplies, dish and laundry detergents
Personal care items: deodorants, shampoo, conditioner, shower gels, body lotions
Baby items: diapers, swim diapers, children’s sunscreen and towels (for the summer months)
Holiday items: Halloween and Easter plush toys, baskets, some candy, costumes
Late Summer and Early Fall: school supplies, backpacks, copy paper
For the kids at the Bloomsdale/Fleetwing Improvement Project: art supplies, games, children’s books, learning aids, videos, copy paper, printer ink cartridges
- And, of course, grocery store, Kohl’s, Target and Wal-Mart gift cards in denominations of $25 or less are always welcome.
Donations to the Harvest Day Raffle:
If you, or your business, wish to be represented in our annual Harvest Day Raffle, please let us know what you wish to donate. All donations, depending on what they are and their value are considered as either stand-alone or are incorporated into a theme basket with companion items. Our website carries the raffle and a link to each donor’s website is part of each basket raffle listing.

Monetary donations:
We have been grateful for monetary donations ranging from as little as $1 to our largest donation to date of $500. Any monetary donation will be added to the funds of MWA to be distributed where most needed.
MWA is a non-profit, 501 (c) 3 organization and, as such, all donations are fully tax deductible as allowed by law.
